The Universe symbol is a combination of two basic shapes, shapes that have been found in writings of man that date back to cave drawings - the square and circle. Squares are often used to represent a place, such as a home, a territory, a plot of land etc. Circles represent the greater whole, the sun the universe. 
In this charm necklace the two shapes are brought together to create a token, to remind the wearer of their own place in within this universe. 
 
Charm in made from sterling silver with a sapphire or other precious gemstone.
 
Pendant measures approx. 1/2 inch from top to bottom.   
 
A solid sterling silver chain is included. It is oxidized for a contrasting finish and measures 18 - 20 inches in length.
